Built by creators for builders

We make tools that should already exist — for WordPress, for browsers, and eventually for where ideas need a place to run.

WordPress has come an incredibly long way. The block editor changed what was possible for site builders — real layout control, real design flexibility, no page builder required. That was exciting. Still is.

But somewhere along the way, it became clear that important things were being left out. Not because they were hard — because they weren’t prioritized. A navigation block with no hover state. Typography controls that stop short of where you actually need them. Features that felt obvious, features that users were asking for, quietly absent from the roadmap.

At its core, Codify Werkz is a small team of like-minded people who believe that creation is one of the most human things there is. Not just design, not just code — the act of making something from nothing.

That shapes what we build and how we build it. We don’t have a rigid mission statement. We have ideas — plugins, browser extensions, mobile games that have been waiting for the right moment — and we build them when the need feels real and the time feels right.

We also believe great tools come from great collaboration. That includes the AI we work with. Some of what you see at Codify Werkz was designed alongside Claude — not handed off to it, but worked through with it, the way you’d work through a hard problem with a thoughtful collaborator. We’re not shy about that. The best work comes from the best tools available. That’s always been the point.

No meeting rooms. No open-plan noise.

The name Codify is a deliberate nod to Tron — and to Tron Legacy in particular. The visuals, the themes, the lore of a world built inside a computer. The light-up suits, the light cycles, the grid, even Tron Ares. It all hits something that’s been there since childhood.

Flynn built something for the users. That line from the original Tron has stuck. We’re not building a grid. But we are trying to build things that are genuinely useful — not just technically functional, but worth using. That’s the bar we hold ourselves to.

So the design language at Codify Werkz — the dark backgrounds, the circuit traces, the blue glow, the angular buttons — isn’t decoration applied after the fact. It’s a point of view. One that says the tools you use every day don’t have to look like they were assembled in a committee meeting. They can have a personality. They can have a world.

Right now, the focus is WordPress plugins — starting with the Extended Navigation Block, which gives the native Navigation block the styling controls it should have shipped with. More plugins are coming. Browser extensions too. And mobile games — ideas that have been sitting in notebooks for longer than we’d like to admit, waiting for the right moment.

Extending the block editor with controls that close the gap between what’s possible and what’s provided out of the box.

Small, focused tools that make the web work a little better — or a little differently — than it does by default.

Ideas that have been waiting. Games with personality and intention — not another clone, but something that feels like it belongs in the same world as everything else we build.

Each thing we make will feel like it belongs to the same world. Different surfaces, same sensibility. Built with care, priced honestly, and maintained for the people who actually use it.

The Extended Navigation Block is free to get started. When you need the full toolkit, Pro has everything else.
